WELCOME BACK!

Welcome back to a great year at Canyon View Elementary school! We hope your first few weeks of school have been GREAT!

We had our first PTA meeting on Tuesday Sept 4th at 7pm. We passed a budget for the 2012-2013 school year. We will continue to have meetings the first Tuesday of every month. Locations and times will be posted on this BLOG. We really need more participation at our meetings. We want to know what we can do for every parent at Canyon View.

We just wanted to let you know this BLOG is up and running again. Please share this website with other friends and family who may have students at Canyon View.

First Lego League fundraising yard sale

There will be a fundraising yard sale this Saturday to support our school's new First Lego League team. Please help these families as they try to offset some of the costs of having this league. There will be bikes, toys, lemonade, and baked goods for sale, as well as lots of other treasures. The yard sale is at 7944 Mountain Oaks Drive from 8am to 12n.

Canyon District news

Effective the 2012/2013 school year, Canyons School District is making a move to Styrofoam lunch trays. It will cut a job at each school, which they feel is more economical, but the cost of the trays and plastic utensils is actually greater. Not to mention to cost to our environment. If you're not okay with this, contact the district's Head of Nutrition Services (Sebasthian Varas) to let him know - sebasthian.varas@canyonsdistrict.org or 801-826-5381. And please share this with other Canyon's District families.

PTA meeting

Please join us on Monday February 13th at 3:30 pm for our next PTA meeting. We will be having local photographers there for us to evaluate options for next years school pictures. Please come give your feedback!
